Umbrella Le Chéile Autumn Update

It’s been a little while since we updated everyone on our events here at Umbrella Le Chéile - the leaves are falling and soon Christmas will be upon us! It has been a busy year so far with our much-loved Artisan Market returning to the Galway Rowing Club in Woodquay and we want to thank everyone so much for coming along to support us!

Every third Sunday of the month you can find us at this fabulous venue, nestled right on the shores of the river Corrib. It has been wonderful being back in our old haunt, our members gathered together with their handcrafted Galway goods, chatting to customers and enjoying the community vibes.

Mark it in the diary, our next market will take place 11am to 5pm on Sunday the 19th of November. Our makers and creators will have a host of wonderful locally made gifts for Christmas and we can’t wait to see you there.

If you can’t make the market, you will also find some of our members trading at a special Umbrella Le Chéile stall at the Christmas Market in Eyre Square from Friday the 10th to Thursday the 16th of November.

We are also very pleased to tell you about an exciting new partnership with Café Link, a social enterprise based at 25 Newcastle Road on the grounds of Galway Community Care at University Hospital. A not-for-profit café employing people with intellectual disabilities, you can now shop from an array of Umbrella Le Chéile products while you wait to dine.

As you may have noticed, we have also had a rebranding this year and are delighted to be now working under the new name Umbrella Le Chéile. With the same ethos of connecting and supporting independent traders and small business owners while creating a positive social impact, we are always on the look out for new members and welcome enquiries at umbrellalecheile@gmail.com

And that’s a wrap! It has been a wonderful year for us so far and we again would like to thank our members and the community for all of their support! We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming markets and wish you the best for the festive season ahead.
