Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Umbrella Eile emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.

We are a local business community for Galway based independent traders and small business owners to connect, find support and to trade in our local market platforms and our new local online marketplace. Everyone in the community is welcome to be a part of Umbrella Eile, whether you are a supporter, buyer or a seller of local goods and services.

Established in 2020, we’re a social enterprise driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. The social enterprise model builds its foundation on shared ownership and democracy, environmental responsibility, viability and social impact. The result is a community where trust, transparency, a sense of safety, creativity, innovation, wellbeing and sustainable development can thrive.
