This painting of Westport house looks up steps to the upper gardens from what I think was the servants quarters.

The steps rise up between symmetrical terraces. Each terrace is backed by a stone wall set back from the previous one. Each tiered layer is iced with grass. As each wall approaches the steps there is an old Irish Yew tree. It is a very powerful scene.
