Celtic Art Pendant, The Beard Pullers. Etched in Brass

Acid Etched Brass Celtic Pendant. Adapted from The Book of Kells. Based on a design described as the "Beard Pullers" from eighth century Gospels. Designed by me and etched here in Ireland The pendant is 0.7 mm thick, 3 cm tall ( 1.2 inch ) 2.4 cm wide ( 0.9 inch ) and sold with an adjustable brown waxed cotton necklace Zoomorphics Zoomorphic Celtic designs are those based upon the forms of amimals, birds and reptiles. Anthropomorphic are those based upon the human body. This manner of expressing forms and movements in metal work as long ago as 5000 B.C.
